The brain child behind LEGENDS 5 is Lina Arguelles- Congas/Timbales/Percussion/Lead Vocals– a self-taught musician with many years of experience in the entertainment field; often called by friends the “Miami Legend.” She was the first female conga player in the Miami Bands/Open House Era.

The band members have played with many bands and contributed to the Miami Sound playing with great bands such as 2+1, Clockwork, Chiko and the Men, Cabrisas Orchestra, Orquesta America, Los Continentales, Viva, The Judge’s Nephews, The Eddy Elmer Orchestra, Mantrap, Adele & Harmony and others, too long to mention.

The group has individualy participated in all phases of the entertainment business including Shows, Television, Nightclubs and Recordings, performing with top musicians and musical groups such as Ed Calle, Paquito D’Rivera, Cachao, Franco, Bertha Maria, Arturo Sandoval and countless others.

DJ LEO (Leo Perez) is the Energy behind the South Florida DJ Association. His technical expertise has given the group it’s presence and polished appearance. His Eclectic style of DJing has graced events and nightclubs locally for years. He is extremely active as one of the Administrators of the South Florida DJ Association.

DJ Leo, has been a Miami-based DJ for the past 20 years. Starting off in the banquet scene, Leo quickly established himself as a DJ who can cater to a variety of crowds.

Founded in Santiago de Cuba in 2001by two brothers, Yacer and Yamerl Robinson, the band first started playing music as a hobby. Thanks to their first hit “El Calentico,” the band gained quick popularity, By using slower, smother rhythms than traditional Cubaton artists, Kola Loka distinguished itself as one of the most creative bands of the genre. “We experiment, we explore different styles,” Yacer explains, adding the Kola Loka is first and foremost a “fusion band” with a large pane of influences, including Merengue, Son, Guarache, and Cumbia.

By 2009, they started to gain international success, thanks to their major hits “No Me Da Mi Gana Americana” and “ La Etafa Del Babalo.” Featured on many compilations distributed around the world, the band is now considered one the best ambassadors of the Cubaton movement.

Kola Loka has gone beyond the borders of its native island to tour Europe and throughout the USA.

In addition to founding the girl group Exposé in 1984, he also wrote and produced all of the songs on its first two albums, Exposure (1987) and What You Don’t Know (1989). He also contributed to the group’s third effort, Exposé, in 1992. He worked with many other artists, producing, writing and or remixing tracks for Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Celine Dion, Company B, Arika Kane, Jermaine Jackson, Sequel, the Cover Girls, Debbie Gibson, Vanessa Williams, Pet Shop Boys, Son by Four, and Elvis Crespo, among others.[1] His contributions to the nascent freestyle music movement in the mid-1980s contributed to its popularity, which continues to this day. LUIS BOFILL Cuban singer born in La Habana, Cuba. After graduating from the Conservatorio de Canto and the Universidad de La Habana, he launched his career in the late 70’s during the Move de la Nueva Trova as a member of the “Cuba Nueva” a group that played traditional Cuban music. In 1981 he won a prestigious award as a solo artist in “Todo el mundo canta” a national TV program that lead him to give performances in theatres, clubs, TV programs and tour the country.

Our fantastic Tribute to Bob Marley features Yvad, former lead singer of The Wailers band and solo artist! This band performs over 120 minutes of the hits and songs of legendary Reggae artist Bob Marley, plus Vlad’s original reggae music. There are so many hits like “No Woman No Cry”, “Three Little Birds”, “Buffalo Soldier”, “Redemption Song” and many more! Yvad has had three major hit songs so far on the Jamaica Music Awards and was featured on the cover of Billboard magazine. His song “We need love” won best produced single in the reggae top nominated songs in Jamaica, and gathered international attention. He has also worked with Ziggy Marley and family and was signed to the family Label “Tuff Gong Int” records .

Luis Ernesto Beltran (Rosca) is a versatile saxophonist and flute player, a two time Grammy nominated for his albums with for “Tiempo Libre.”, “Back in Habana” and “What you’ve been waiting for.” Luis was born in Cuba, and at the age of 11 years old, he began his journey as a music student at EVA Raul Sanchez in Pinar del Rio. Four years later, he moved up to study in the ENA NATIONAL SCHOOL OF ARTS in Havana, specializing in saxophone. By the age of 24, he moved to Europe. In Italy, he obtsinrf the opportunity to work in big festivals as Umbria Jazz, JVC, and Few Word Music Festival. Eight years later, he moved to Miami, where he had the privilege of playing at Playboy Jazz Festival and L.A. Chicago Jazz. Luis has worked with many well-known Latin Americans artists and world-class musicians, such as Sir James Galway, Joshua Bell, Paquito de Rivera, Giovani Hidalgo, Tropicana All Stars, Tito Nieves, Alfredo de la Fe, Luis Enrique, Victor Manuel, Sergio Vargas, Isaac Delgado, Alejandro Sanz, Juan Luis Guerra, Mambo Madness, Palo, and many others.

Nightshift band is made up of former original Mantrap members. After being retired from music for a year Nelson Correa, who founded Mantrap put together a group of musicians that played with him during the 70s with the goal of playing songs that other local bands do not play, but People love.

On May 11 Nightshift debuted to a standing room only crowd who love and support Nelson Correa. Nightshift is now the most talked about band in South Florida

RICKY 305 became fascinated with DJing, Music, and Radio during a summer in middle school when he spent 3 weeks going to work with his grandfather who was an accountant for an AM station in South Beach. Ricky spent numerous hours a day hanging out with the producers and on-air talent. He became obsessed with music and listening to mix shows on the radio for inspiration. While in high school Ricky landed a job in Spanish Broadcasting System where it opened the doors to many clubs, parties, and venues. Throughout the years Ricky 305 has been featured on several Mix Shows and many Live Broadcasts from clubs. He quickly became known as Ricky 305 and has developed expertise by performing at numerous venues throughout Miami and Las Vegas.
