Originally founded in 1960, taking their name from an Iron Factory in Hialeah, where three of the original members worked, the commencement of LOS JOVENES DEL HIERRO, the FIRST Cuban Orchestra in Miami’s History, began. The Band played EVERYWHERE and quickly became a fixture in the Original Miami Latin Dance scene. They released their first two records on the KUBANEY label in 1964 and 1965.The band performed endlessly at the “BAILES CUBANOS,” During that Boom era they performed WEEKLY at those famous dances. They signed with SOUND TRIANGLE label in 1973 and recorded Three Landmark Albums that included many hits, “ME GUSTAN TODAS”, “TENGO UN CORAZON”, “TITICO, NI COMES NI DEJAS COMER” and the hit “EL BILINGUE”. Now, after more than Thirty Years, this incredible CHARANGA band returns to the stage at CASINO MIAMI, formerly Miami Jai-Alai where they performed for many years.
